The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) is an internationally accredited certiﬁcate that certiﬁes one’s ability and competency to use a computer and its most popular applications (MS Ofﬁce Suite). It is designed speciﬁcally for those who wish to gain a benchmark qualiﬁcation in computing, to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their careers.NAMCOL offers the course at its two Computer-Based Learning Centres (CBLCs) in Windhoek and Ongwediva.

Programme Structure and Content
The ICDL course consists of seven modules as listed below:
When 4 modules have been successfully passed, a Start Certiﬁcate can be issued.
Registered candidates will be tested on each module in order to acquire the Certiﬁcate. Both CBLCs use Automated Testing for the ICDL, which enables the College to run the tests at these centres and provide results immediately to the learners (on-line testing).
Important: The prices below reﬂect the current cost, but will be increased in 2012.
Full package for ICDL TM Core (N$3350.00). Includes a skills logbook training manual, training on all seven modules and testing (1 test per module).
ICDL TM Start package (N$2 060.00). Includes a skills logbook, training manual, training on any four modules and 1 test per module.
Self Training (N$1 420.00). Buy the skills logbook and training manual (optional) and train on your own. However, you should have access to a computer with appropriate software.
Testing only (N$110.00 per test). Book tests in advance and do the primer one day in advance. This option is only for candidates who already have skills logbooks.
